Beginners' Acrylic Painting

acrylic paint flowers.jpg

Description

Discover new ways to look at flowers in this four-week course on acrylic painting!

This beginners’ course will allow you to be loose and free and expressionistic, simply enjoying the feel of paint on canvas, rather than getting caught up in making paintings that are perfectly representational. We will engage in several projects to loosen up and have fun while pushing our skills to the next level, wherever that may be.

You’ll learn a little bit about composition and design, and try a variety of painting techniques, including some basic color mixing. You will take home a number of finished pieces to brighten your home, as well as some pieces to continue playing with.

Dates and Times

This four-week beginners' course meets every Friday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, January 19th through February 9th.
