Description

Ages: adults and kids ages 13 & up

Join woodworker, Micah Wall, to learn the basics of hand plane use in woodworking. Lessons will include how to choose the correct type of hand plane for a task, how to restore an antique hand plane, how to use a hand plane, how to sharpen a hand plane, as well as how to keep a hand plane in good working order.
Different types of hand planes will be supplied by the instructor for students to use. Students are encouraged to bring their own planes if they already have one they would like to use. If you don't already have one, you’re encouraged to wait until after the class to purchase one. That way you can try out a few different types beforehand.

Cost: $20 per student

The cost of this class includes studio time, access to all the equipment and tools in our studio, plus in-depth instruction, as well as the cost of materials and other necessities.
