Yarn Bombing (ages 6-15)

  • Macoupin Art Collective 214 E. Main St. Staunton, IL 62093 USA (map)

Ages: 6-15

Yarnbombing is a form of street fiber art that uses yarn, string, fabric, and other materials to create beautiful works of art both indoor and out. Street art does not have to be permanent or destructive to send a message.
We will learn about the yarnbombing movement and work on some small yarnbombs for the MAC and one large collaborative piece that will be publicly displayed (info on this to come). You will be able to take your new talents out into the world and create beauty by making everyday items such as trees, signs, planters, and benches even more interesting and beautiful!
