Description

Students will learn the basics of working with metal. Students will learn how to use a variety of tools such as the jeweler’s saw, hammers, and flex shaft. Various cold working and forming techniques will be taught to create individual wearable or small sculptural pieces. Students will then expand on the basics of metalsmithing (sawing, forming, filing, cold connection) to create wearable or small sculptural pieces. Additional techniques specifically covered in the class are soldering, bezel forming, and stone setting.

This six-week class meets every Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00pm, Sep 11 through Oct 16


Cost: $ 130 per student

The cost of this class includes studio time, access to all the equipment and tools in our studio, plus in-depth instruction, as well as the cost of materials and other necessities.
