Join instructor, Linda Rawson, to create a 9x12 watercolor painting on Ginwashi rice paper.
Each adult (18 and up) class will produce a finished 9x12 watercolor painting on Ginwashi rice paper. All supplies are provided, such as rice paper, paint and brushes, wax and wax melting pots, aprons, and instruction materials.
This rice paper is not sized and the students learn to control paint application with a dry brush technique or wet in wet. As in the batik fabric technique, wax is used as a resist between layers of paint and is removed at the end of the class with newspapers and a clothes iron.
No painting experience required, in three hours you will have created your own masterpiece on translucent rice paper.
This class MUST have 10 students or we will have to cancel.
