Instructor Bio, Jim Linksvayer:
From childhood on, I have loved drawing and sketching; actually, anything to do with art.
College consisted of two years at Colorado State and my final two at Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville. I got hooked on clay in my first pottery class, and I never looked back. After college, I took several workshops on functional pottery while setting up my own business. Since then I have had studios in three different locations. Teaching since 1984 helps keep me up to date with other people and gives me feedback on my work.
I sell my work at art fairs, galleries, and my studio. My inspiration comes from nature and travel.
The cost of this class includes two hours of studio time per week for six weeks with access to all the equipment and tools in our clay studio, plus in-depth instruction, as well as the cost of clay, glazes, and kiln firings.
