When: Wednesday February 7, 2024 • 4:00 - 6:00pm OR Friday February 9, 2024 • 4:00 - 5:30pm

Come and join the MAC crew and make some handmade valentines cards for your loved ones. We are also seeking volunteers to make cards so that we can deliver them to local nursing homes! This event is FREE and open to the public. No need to sign up!

We also need a volunteer to take these cards (and some donated jewelry) to nursing homes in Staunton and the local area : Please email us to volunteer for this task!!

What’s the project?: MUG GLAZING WORKSHOP • Come and join the MAC crew and help us glaze the rest of our mugs for our birthday party! This event is FREE and open to the public. No need to sign up!

When: Tuesday - Friday March 12 - 16, 2024 • 11am to 5pm
Who: We need lots of friends with lots of skills
What’s the project: This week we will be working on a bunch of projects. We need help with the following:

  • Getting materials ready for crafts for the 7th Annual MACiversary

  • General cleaning : sweep, mop, clean windows (inside and out), clean bathroom, wipe down surfaces

  • Bringing chairs and tables up from the basement (on Friday)

  • Setting up tables for the birthday party (on Friday)

  • Organizing donated materials

    • logging materials, putting materials away, making craft kits for the community

  • Filling our "Little Free Art Gallery" and Free Little Craft Cabinet

  • Setting up MACoupin Made - a gallery show (on Tuesday)

  • Giving the Thrifter a good “fluff” (everyday)

  • Making a sign for the chalkboard outside (on Tuesday)

  • Sharpening all pencils

  • Filling staplers

  • Cleaning towels / folding towels

  • Making “Thank you” cards and envelopes

  • Grinding/Washing kiln shelves

  • Loading the glass kiln with stained glass scraps to melt into useable pieces for community projects

  • Sweep out the bus

  • Continue painting on the bus

  • Fill the bus with equipment and materials - organize

If you would like to sign up for a particular task- make sure to leave us a note when you sign up for a time period. We have made sign ups for one hour increments, but you are welcome to come and go as you please!
